What is a Neurologist?

Neurologists are medical specialists who investigate, diagnose and treat disorders of the brain, spine, muscle and nerves. The types of conditions that are treated by neurologists range include migraine, epilepsy, Parkinson disease, Multiple Sclerosis and peripheral neuropathy – but there are many other problems that are looked after by neurologists. Neurologists can perform diagnostic tests and provide treatments such as Botulinum toxin injections, but do not provide operative management.
